Who we are
Heyo - We’re Sam and Pat (Sam wears the hat and Pat has the beard),
We have been traveling around and telling stories for over fifteen years. In that time we have worked on projects for: The New York Times, The Smithsonian, Business Insider, NASA, The Atlantic, Netflix, Meta, Google, and more. We’re not really “Wedding Videographers”, in the traditional sense. We’re not into making highlights reels, or videos cut to a trendy song. We take our love and knowledge from working on documentaries to the wedding world. Because at its core, Towering Pines Productions creates wedding films centered on human connection.

Why we do it
We originally met in PA when we were scheduled to be in the same high school flex period, but we had both gone on our separate adventures.
Pat moved to NYC for a job and traveled around working on various projects from documentary work in remote places to scripted TV shows. Eventually moving to Utah to change skyscrapers for towering mountains.
Sam skipped a few college classes, finding nature and people more interesting than a classroom. While Patrick was living in Utah and Sam was back in PA, he sent her a message and a few months later she was living in Utah too. Over the years we’ve moved around together trying out a few more states - always taking photos and videos along the way.
Pat made some wedding videos in high-school but didn't like how impersonal they felt. We revisited the idea in January 2025, while sitting at our favorite bar. Taking years of experience of making documentaries, but focusing on the deeply personal connections of two people spending their lives together. The idea that; wedding videos should be done differently. From there Towering Pines Productions quickly took form.
We are dedicated to moving beyond the typical. We create wedding films that truly reflect the depth and unique narrative of your lives together - not just the pretty posed moments of your wedding day.
